Privacy policy
We ask our clients to collect less and say plainly what they do with it. This page is us holding ourselves to the same standard.

This policy explains how Rocksmith Tech Pty Ltd (ACN 628 714 929 · ABN 83 628 714 929) handles personal information. We aim to handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), whether or not we are currently obliged to.
The short version
- This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags.
- The site makes no third-party requests — fonts and scripts are served from our own domain, so no other company sees your visit.
- If you send us an enquiry, we use it to answer you. That is all.
- If an AI assistant submits an enquiry for you, we don’t read it until you confirm by email — and if you don’t, it’s deleted.
- We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information with anyone for their own purposes.
Visiting this website
We do not run any script that identifies or profiles you. We do not use Google Analytics or any equivalent.
Like every website, ours is served by infrastructure that necessarily processes technical information in order to deliver a page to you. Our hosting and network provider, Cloudflare, Inc., handles your IP address, the page requested, your browser’s user-agent string and a timestamp as part of routing the request and protecting the site from attack and abuse. We use the aggregate traffic figures Cloudflare derives from this — page counts and country-level totals — to understand roughly how busy the site is. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Sending us an enquiry
If you use the form on our contact page, or email or telephone us, we collect what you choose to give us: typically your name, email address, optionally a phone number and business name, and whatever you tell us about your situation.
What we do with it
- Reply to you and have a conversation about the work.
- Prepare a scope or quote if you ask for one.
- Nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, entered into a marketing system, or used to build a profile.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. — delivers this website and processes the form submission on its way to us.
- Twilio SendGrid, Inc. — the service that transmits the message to our mailbox as email.
- Our email provider — where the message is then stored and read.
- Cloudflare Workers KV — only for enquiries submitted by an AI assistant, and only until you confirm or three days pass, whichever comes first.
Both Cloudflare and Twilio SendGrid are United States companies and operate global infrastructure, so your enquiry may be processed or stored outside Australia. We are telling you this here rather than leaving you to discover it. If you would prefer not to have your information handled that way, telephone us instead on 0488 988 220.
Spam controls
The form includes a hidden field that genuine visitors never see and a timestamp recording when the page loaded. Both are used only to reject automated submissions. Neither is a cookie, neither persists after the page is closed, and neither is used to identify you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once the conversation is clearly finished, and in any case within twelve months. Where we go on to work together, the correspondence is retained for the life of the engagement and afterwards for as long as we may need it for tax, legal or insurance reasons — generally seven years.
If an AI assistant contacted us for you
We publish an interface that lets an AI assistant submit an enquiry on someone’s behalf. Because an assistant asserts a person’s name and email address and we cannot verify either, an enquiry submitted this way is not delivered to us when it arrives.
Instead it is held, unread, and a confirmation email is sent to the address given. It reaches us only if the person clicks the link in that email. If they don’t, it is deleted automatically after three days and nobody here ever sees it.
While it is held
- It is stored encrypted at rest in Cloudflare Workers KV, with an automatic three-day expiry.
- It is not read by anyone at Rocksmith Tech Pty Ltd, and is not used for any purpose other than sending the single confirmation email.
- We record which assistant submitted it, so that if you confirm, we can tell you who acted for you.
- Ignoring the email is a complete and final opt-out. You will not be contacted again, and you are not added to anything.
If you received a confirmation email you didn’t expect, you don’t need to do anything — but we’d like to know, because it means an assistant used your address without your say-so. Please tell us at clinton@rocksmithtech.com.au and we’ll look into it.
Information belonging to our clients’ customers
When we build or maintain software for a client, that software may hold personal information about the client’s own customers. In that situation the client decides what is collected and why; we handle it only as needed to build, secure and support the system, on their instructions.
In practice that means: access limited to what the work genuinely requires, credentials rotated and our access removed at handover, and we do not copy client data into our own systems or use it for any purpose of our own. If you are a customer of one of our clients and have a question about your information, you should contact that business directly — but you are welcome to contact us and we will help you reach the right people.
Security
Enquiries reach us over encrypted connections and are stored in access-controlled mailboxes protected by multi-factor authentication. Access to systems containing personal information is restricted to those who need it.
No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires it, notify the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email clinton@rocksmithtech.com.au or telephone 0488 988 220. There is no charge, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant and we hold your details, we will tell you directly.
